Travelers Unite! Your best story about traveling to Israel?

This post is to all you travelers out there.  While I’ve been to many places on the map, Israel still eludes me.  However, I’m looking to go this upcoming spring.

Until then, I’d love to hear more about your experiences in Israel.  What’s your best story about going to Israel? Birthright trip?  Bar bat mitzvah? Kibbutz? Yeshiva in Israel after high school? Pilgrimage to Israel after a lifetime in the United States?

I’d love to hear your stories.
